So another first for T3. The day before the release of Apple’s new smartphone, the iPhone 5, we released a fully interactive special that let people unbox it, manipulate it and play with its features, all from the comfort of their own home (and, most importantly, iPad). Levelling with you, it’s one of the coolest things we’ve done.
While others wrote speculative pieces bolstered by press images, we got hold of our own handset, shot exclusive imagery and extensive video on its innards, and created the first ever interactive smartphone special for iPad. It’s just another great example of the spontaneity and reactive nature of digital, in that with a bit of elbow grease and some dedicated staff we could produce such a comprehensive special in just a few days. I wonder what we’ll do next time?
