One new T3 and two AOP Awards

So, there’s a new T3 in the shops.

I rate it one of the best covers we’ve done in my year and half at the magazine, and that’s not just because of the lovely award-winning motif across the top of the masthead. Honest. So the least you can do is go and buy it so I’m proved right in future planning meetings.

Anyway, as well as 101 Gadgets You Can’t Live Without, an interview with Sir Jonathan Ive and the lowdown on all new things Apple, Microsoft and Google, there’s actually a fair amount that I’ve written, too. Namely, the 360 review on Apple’s new Retina MacBook Pro and a rather personal Play opener, an interview with Fighting Fantasy creator, and my childhood hero, Ian Livingstone. Many thanks to him and Epic Games for helping out with the many behind-the-scenes assets for our iPad edition.

In other news, our publisher scooped two more gongs at the Association of Online Publisher (AOP) Awards. So not only was Future crowned Digital Publisher of the Year for the second year in a row, it also nabbed Launch of the Year for its major effort for Apple’s Newsstand. Obviously, we’re chuffed with the collective win and will be whacking it on our masthead as soon as is humanly possible
